Hunkering Amsterdam Pride 2026 at Generator Amsterdam — a full melodic house live set with real dancefloor energy.
Some gigs are not just another date in the calendar. They become a marker. Hunkering Amsterdam Pride 2026 was one of those nights for me.
On 1 August 2026, I played from 19:50 to 21:10 at Generator Amsterdam for Hunkering during Amsterdam Pride. The idea was never to throw tracks at the room. I wanted to build a real melodic house journey: emotional, deep, warm, progressive, and still dancefloor-focused enough to keep the energy moving.
Hunkering has always felt like one of those Amsterdam events with its own identity. It is not just about a name on a flyer. It is about music, people, culture, the room, and that slightly unexpected feeling that makes a night stay in your memory. Artists connected to the Hunkering story and its wider event history include names such as Olivier Weiter, Rose Ringed and Sébastien Léger — so being able to add my own set to that world during Amsterdam Pride meant a lot to me.
The set: melodic, emotional and built as a story.
The set started with my own track AMARA right at the beginning — exactly around the 01:00 mark in the full video. That mattered to me. AMARA is not just a track I made; it carries that warm, emotional, slightly Afro-influenced feeling that connects perfectly with the way I want to play: melody first, but always with movement.
From there, the set moved through melodic house, deep house and progressive house. I wanted it to feel open and human, not cold or over-programmed. The room at Generator Amsterdam gave me exactly the right setting for that: intimate enough to feel the people, but big enough to build tension and release.
The full recording is now online with live footage from the event and HQ audio recreated from the original setlist, mixed with subtle crowd ambience. For people who were there, it brings back the room. For promoters, bookers and ADE contacts, it is the clearest live proof of what I do as an Amsterdam-based melodic house DJ and producer.
After Hunkering: from Generator Amsterdam to Thuishaven.
After my Hunkering set, I made my way to Thuishaven for the Eelke Kleijn gig. That became a beautiful continuation of the night. I met Eelke there personally and we talked about his Argentina tour, music taste, DJing, and the way a set can move between emotion and club energy.
For me, that moment connected a lot of things: playing my own set at Hunkering, feeling the response in the room, and then ending the night around another artist whose music has always lived in that melodic, emotional and progressive space I connect with.
After Hunkering, the night continued at Thuishaven — another reminder why Amsterdam is such a strong city for melodic and progressive house.
Why this night matters now.
For me, Hunkering Amsterdam Pride 2026 is not just a memory. It is now my latest live proof. It shows the sound, the pacing, the booth energy, the crowd connection and the emotional direction behind Mario Arend.
I am currently open for selected bookings around ADE 2026, rooftop events, warm-up sets, hotel events, private events, boutique club rooms and curated melodic house showcases. The best fit is where the night needs more than background music: a proper emotional flow, warm grooves, cinematic builds and a dancefloor that can breathe.
