The city I actually call home.
Between the A'DAM Tower and NDSM, Amsterdam feels a little different: rawer, more open, more creative — and much closer to the city I experience every day.
This is the part of Amsterdam I actually call home.
I live in Noord, between the A'DAM Tower and NDSM.
Most people come to Amsterdam for the canals and the centre — and I love that side of the city too.
But up here it feels different. Rawer. Less polished. More space. More people making things.
Old shipyards, studios, street art and industrial buildings — there is an energy here that feels creative without trying too hard.
It is where I walk, think, listen and often come back with new ideas. Maybe that is why Noord feels so close to the music I love: a little rough around the edges, atmospheric, human and always moving.
It is the part of Amsterdam that keeps inspiring me.
Noord, as I see it.
Not a guide to Amsterdam. Just a few places, textures and moments from the part of the city I move through all the time.
Not the Amsterdam most people come to see. The Amsterdam I come home to.
And maybe that is exactly why it keeps finding its way into the music: space, contrast, atmosphere and the feeling that something new can happen around the next corner.
