On 11 April, Hollt played at Het Sieraad in Amsterdam together with Collé. During the event, I had the chance to meet Mees Salomé and spend time talking with both Mees and Hollt.
Both artists are part of the musical environment that made Amsterdam so important to my own development: emotional melodies, patient progression and electronic music that creates a real sense of movement.
Mees Salomé's music has been one of my references for the deeper, more hypnotic side of Melodic House. Hollt brings a distinctive live-minded energy and a strong sense of atmosphere.
Meeting artists whose work has influenced you makes the musical journey feel less abstract and more human.
I value moments like this because electronic music is not only created alone in a studio. It grows through nights, conversations, shared dance floors and the people who keep pushing the sound forward.
