BOUBA is one of the most personal tracks I have made.
I wrote it for my two daughters.
I do not use their names publicly here, because this song is not about explaining them to the world. It is more about the feeling I have when I think about them.
They call themselves BOUBA together. That is their name for the two of them. And honestly, I found that so beautiful. The fact that they even created one name for both of them says a lot about their connection.
So I knew immediately: this track had to be called BOUBA.
I made the song around the middle of 2025. It came from a very warm place. A lot of love. A lot of pride. And also this feeling of looking at your children and realizing that they are not small anymore.
They have become young women. They are in the middle of life, finding their own way. And what makes me really proud is that they still have this strong connection with each other. They love each other, they do a lot together, and both of them have a very big heart.
That is what I wanted to put into the music.
The track starts dreamy and playful. Almost like entering their little world. Then it slowly builds. Nothing is rushed. The bass comes in gradually, and then the track starts to take you with it.
For me, it feels like a small journey. Warm, emotional and euphoric. A journey of two people who belong together, but still have their own energy.
And yes, surprise surprise, if you know me: it became emotional.
The cover is very simple on purpose. Black and white. Just two figures holding each other. No big drama. No overloaded design. Just the two of them, close together.
That is exactly what the song is about. Not perfection. Not showing off. Not trying to impress anyone. Just love.
What makes me happiest is that my daughters already know the song and like it. So it is not something I hope they maybe understand one day. They already feel it now.
That means a lot to me.
BOUBA is not only a track. It is a little piece of love I could give them in my own way.
For their connection. For their hearts. For the way they are becoming themselves.
And maybe for everyone else, it can still be a warm emotional house track. Something dreamy, playful and euphoric. Something to close your eyes to and let yourself be carried away for a few minutes.
But for me, it will always be simple:
